Bird Box offers the Key to Surviving the Economic Crash

Economic Recessions are easy to predict.

1921-23, 1929-33, 1946-48, 1973-75, 1981-84, 2000-2004, 2008-2009. These are all the years of the economic recessions and depressions of the last century, and the years that Saturn and Pluto were in alignment.

Saturn symbolizes fear, constriction, and prudence. Pluto is associated with volcanic power and the will to live. Put them together and you have volcanic fear and constriction. Or you have prudence, driven by the will to live.

In the recent Netflix blockbuster hit Bird Box (coming just as we enter into our current Saturn/Pluto alignment and the customary stock market drop that tends to correspond with it) the world is plagued by phantom entities that are so powerful, if you take one look at them you see your worst fears and are compelled to commit suicide. The ones who survive wear blindfolds.

The factor that makes the stock market crash is fear…volcanic fear. But there really is no such thing as an economic crash. Recessions are a natural part of a fluid rhythm of the world economy. After expansion comes constriction, and again after constriction will come expansion.

After we inhale, we exhale. We don’t call exhalation a “crash.”

Similarly, in Bird Box, the people who wear blindfolds are choosing not to look at, and be ruled by, their exaggerated fears.

They are exercising prudence (Saturn) driven by the will to live (Pluto), rather than allowing volcanic (Pluto) fear (Saturn) rule their actions.

Life is constantly providing us with similar cultural and personal hints about how to survive and thrive during astrological weather patterns. These hints and remedies tend to be homeopathic, i.e. the liberating lesson lies in the poison itself.

This is what Bird Box teaches us if we look deeply enough and have the symbolic language to understand the message.

There’s still time to change the road you’re on.”
