As Without, So Within

As a practicing astrologer, I’ve been fascinated with how the cosmos outside of us reflects the contents within our psyches.

Yet the cosmos doesn’t only reflect our psyches, our bodies themselves are microcosms of the cosmos.

In the early days of western medicine, physicians were also astrologers. They looked at the larger cosmos to understand the interior body; they looked at the inner workings of the body to understand the workings of the cosmos.

I’ve always been fascinating with the physical body, and continue to study it.

Here I’ve created an “ecorche,” or a sculpture of the human structure with the skin removed, so that the musculature and skeletal structure can be viewed and understood:
