How does a tiny acorn become the mighty oak tree?

            Hint: it’s not what you think.

            Sure, the DNA in the seed has something to do with the tree’s final shape.

            But DNA is only part of the story. DNA doesn’t provide water to the seed. DNA doesn’t provide nutrients and sunlight.

            Yet the water, soil and sunlight of the environment aren’t even the whole story.

            In order to grow the oak tree needs the gravity of the Earth, the gravity of the Sun, the pull of the Moon. The necessary factors become subtler but nonetheless essential the farther away you back the lens from the tree.

            The fact of the matter is that the whole spinning wheel of creation that you witness in the clear night sky contributes to the oak’s growth. The oak is the product of all the power of creation.

            So too, your life, your mission, has standing at its back all the power of creation. Whether your mission is seemingly big or small, how confident would you feel in it, knowing that the entire universe supports and nurtures your mission?

            The most formidable obstacle standing in our way is our own ignorance.

            We don’t understand our true mission and how we are getting in the way of that mission.

            When we come to understand our astrological birth chart, we come to understand our true mission in this life.

            But that’s only the beginning.

            We need to develop a sensitivity to our lives and ourselves that reveals to us when we’ve gone off path.

            That sensitivity is already within us, but many of us are unaware of it because it involves tapping into an incredibly grounded and powerful feeling that many of us aren’t used to.

When we are off path we lose touch with that grounded powerful feeling, the feeling that all of creation has our back.

If you watch commercials these days many of them are promoting medications for disorders that make us feel lousy. Commercials don’t exist by themselves; they exist where there’s a market. There are too many people feeling lousy these days; there are too many people feeling off path.

First we need to understand our mission through the life map that is known as your astrological birth chart. Next we learn to recognize all around us the signs that the universe is supporting that mission. Then we need to get in touch with the personal unique way we have of feeling confident, powerful, and guided. Finally, we understand the times when we’ve lost that feeling, when we’ve gone off path, and we lovingly course correct.

That is our collective mission in this current era of ours.
